In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Maharashtra government has transferred 16 senior police officers, including DCPs and Superintendents of Police. Among the notable changes, senior officer Datta Nalawade has been reassigned as DCP (Government Railway Police) in Mumbai. The reshuffle order was issued by the home department on Tuesday.

Other key transfers include DCPs Vivek Pansare, who will move to Mumbai Police from Navi Mumbai, and Pradeep Chavan, who is currently the Chief Vigilance Officer of the state assembly secretariat, also joining the Mumbai Police. DCPs Rashmi Nandedkar and Meena Makwana have been assigned to Navi Mumbai and Thane, respectively. Sandeep Bhajibhakre will hold a position at the State Intelligence Department in Nagpur, while Raju Bhujbal will take over as Chief Vigilance Officer in the assembly secretariat.

Additionally, senior officer Vishwas Deshmukh has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (Highway), and Sandeep Palve will serve as SP (Anti-Corruption Bureau) in Nanded. These changes are part of an effort to reshuffle and reassign key positions within the Maharashtra police force.
