Tragic Plunge: PESO Officer's Shocking Death

In a tragic turn of events, Nishanta Mridul, a senior official with the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), allegedly ended his life by leaping from the seventh floor of the Central Government Offices Complex. The police reported the incident on Monday.

Mridul, 44, who served as a deputy controller at PESO, was rushed to a private hospital immediately after the fall. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries late Monday night, according to officials from the Gittikhadan police station.

Authorities discovered no suicide note at either his office or home, leaving the reasons behind his drastic action shrouded in mystery. His mobile phone was found on the terrace. Originating from Bihar and holding an M-Tech degree, Mridul's role involved approving specialized equipment for petroleum and explosives industries, as well as investigating related accidents.
