The Patna High Court on Tuesday quashed an FIR against Sanjiv Hans, a senior IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, dismissing allegations of rape that had been lodged by a woman lawyer.
Justice Sandeep Kumar approved Hans' petition to nullify the FIR filed last year at Rupaspur police station.
The complainant, an Aurangabad-based lawyer for the Allahabad High Court, accused Hans and former RJD MLA Gulab Yadav of rape and falsely promising her a position in the State Women's Commission. The court deemed her account as 'false and fabricated'.
