Kursk Governor Reports to Putin After Major Attack

Alexey Smirnov, the acting governor of Russia's Kursk region, briefed President Vladimir Putin on the regional situation following a significant assault by Ukraine. Both Smirnov and the Russian defence ministry stated that the situation is under control and Ukrainian advances have been repelled.

Alexey Smirnov, the acting governor of Russia's Kursk region, reported to President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday regarding the aftermath of a substantial Ukrainian attack. Smirnov assured, "The situation in the region is under control."

The Russian defence ministry confirmed the containment of the Ukrainian forces' advances into the border area between the two nations.

Both officials highlighted that Ukrainian incursions have been effectively thwarted, ensuring stability in the region.
