The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in partnership with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), and key collaborators including Invest India, PIU, and PMU teams, successfully conducted a workshop on the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialisation Scheme (UNNATI) 2024. The event took place at Vanjiya Bhawan, New Delhi, and was attended by representatives from all eight Northeastern states.
The workshop was chaired by Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, whose leadership played a crucial role in addressing the concerns of the participating states. His address outlined a strategic framework and provided detailed guidance for the effective implementation of the UNNATI 2024 Scheme. Joint Secretary Shri Balamurugan also contributed with a comprehensive roadmap for the scheme's execution, ensuring clarity and direction for all stakeholders involved.
Each state showcased the industrialisation incentives and opportunities available in their regions, highlighting the significant growth potential across the Northeast. The workshop saw active participation from over 80 officers from Northeastern states and various union ministries, engaging in constructive discussions and offering valuable suggestions to enhance the scheme's effectiveness.
The event facilitated insightful dialogue and established a solid foundation for transformative development in the region. Director Dr. Kajal extended heartfelt thanks to all participants and stakeholders for their substantial contributions to the workshop's success.
With positive outlooks for the UNNATI 2024 Scheme, there is optimism about the continued progress and growth in the Northeastern region.
