Unprecedented Surge in Violence: Bangladeshi Minorities Under Attack Post-Hasina Government

In the wake of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation on August 5, minority communities in Bangladesh have faced at least 205 incidents of attacks across 52 districts, according to two Hindu organizations.
The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council and the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad disclosed this data in an open letter to interim government head and Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus.
The letter underscored the deteriorating situation, with widespread violence and insecurity among minorities. The organizations called for swift intervention and demanded an end to the chaos.
