Rs 2 Crore Worth Heroin Seized from Ambulance in Assam

Heroin valued at over Rs 2 crore was seized from an ambulance coming from Manipur, leading to the arrest of the driver, announced police on Saturday evening in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
Police stated that the banned substances were found during a routine vehicle search near the State Bank of India's office in Khatkhati area. The contraband was concealed in the bonnet of the ambulance.
Specifically, 265 grams of heroin were found hidden in 23 soap boxes. The estimated street value of the seized heroin is pegged at over Rs 2 crore, according to police officials.
