Police Bust Prostitution Racket in Thane, Rescue Five Women
Police in Thane district have dismantled a prostitution racket, rescuing five women and arresting three individuals involved in the operation. Cash, a car, and other valuables worth Rs 10.66 lakh were seized. The offenders face charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

Police in Maharashtra's Thane district have successfully dismantled a prostitution racket, rescuing five women, according to officials.
Two women and a man were apprehended for their involvement in the illegal operation. Acting on a tip-off, the anti-human trafficking cell conducted a sting operation with a decoy customer at a restaurant-cum-bar on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Kashimira on Friday, stated Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Madan Ballal.
The police arrested a 26-year-old woman from Delhi now residing in Mumbai, a 43-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old man, both from Mira Road. Authorities confiscated cash, a car, and other items valued at Rs 10.66 lakh from the suspects. Five women were rescued and placed in a shelter home. Charges were filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections related to human trafficking and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
