Putin Accuses Ukraine of Destabilization Amid Cross-Border Attacks

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday accused Ukraine of seeking to destabilize Russia through its southern incursion but vowed such efforts would fail.

"The losses for the Ukrainian armed forces are escalating, especially among their elite units," Putin said during a televised meeting with top officials. "The enemy will receive a fitting response, and all our goals will undoubtedly be achieved."

He noted Ukraine's aim appears to be improving its negotiating stance but ruled out talks, accusing Ukraine of targeting civilians in the Kursk region. Putin asserted that Russian forces continue to advance despite Ukraine's strategy to slow them down.
