The Pune police have taken action after NCP Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule's WhatsApp account was hacked. A case has been registered against an unidentified person, an official reported on Tuesday.

Sule, who represents Baramati in Pune district, announced on Sunday through a post on X that her phone and WhatsApp account had been compromised and cautioned individuals not to contact her through these means.

On Monday, she disclosed that the hackers had blackmailed her, demanding USD 400 from her team. An official from Yawat police station confirmed that a case has been filed under the Information Technology Act, and the investigation is ongoing.
