BSF Neutralizes Suspected Pakistani Intruder Amid High Alert

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a suspected Pakistani intruder attempting to infiltrate India from the Punjab border. The incident occurred amid a heightened state of alert ahead of Independence Day. The intruder was spotted in Tarn Taran district and continued advancing despite warnings, prompting the BSF to act.

The Border Security Force (BSF) neutralized a suspected Pakistani intruder attempting to infiltrate from the Punjab border amid a 'high alert' leading up to Independence Day.

A BSF spokesperson reported that the man was detected crossing the international boundary in Dal village, Tarn Taran district, around 8:30 pm on Monday.

Despite warnings, the intruder continued advancing towards the border security fence, which led the on-duty BSF personnel to open fire, resulting in the suspect's immediate neutralization. The BSF has heightened its vigilance along the 553-kilometer India-Pakistan frontier in Punjab from August 10 in preparation for Independence Day events on August 15.
