The Delhi High Court on Tuesday refused to grant interim relief to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in a defamation suit against Swami Govindananda Saraswati over allegedly objectionable remarks.
Justice Navin Chawla stated that defamation charges lacked substance and that an injunction was inappropriate at this stage.
The court issued a notice to the defendants and scheduled the matter for further proceedings on August 29, urging Avimukteshwaranand to transcend such concerns as a saint.
