Austrian officials accused the suspect of planning an attack outside Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium using knives or homemade explosives. The man was arrested last Wednesday, leading to the immediate cancellation of Swift's Thursday, Friday, and Saturday concerts, leaving fans distraught.

Defense lawyer Werner Tomanek contested the allegations, stating the evidence was inconclusive and that his client lacked the means to carry out such an attack.
