Airhostess Allegedly Assaulted by E-Bike Taxi Rider in East Delhi

An airhostess faced a harrowing experience when she was allegedly dragged and molested by an e-bike taxi rider on her way home from East Delhi, the police reported on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Simon Bolivar Marg close to Buddha Jayanti Park on Wednesday night. The woman had hired the e-bike in East Delhi and was heading home to Dwarka when the assault happened.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Devesh Kumar Mahla confirmed that based on the woman's complaint, police apprehended the suspect, Jaiveer, 35, from Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh. Jaiveer has been charged under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Chanakyapuri Police Station. The police are currently investigating his background and examining his involvement in other criminal cases.
