Honor Killing Shocks Gwalior

A man allegedly killed his daughter over her relationship with a young man from another caste in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Police have detained the accused and a probe is underway.

In a harrowing incident in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a man allegedly killed his daughter after a dispute over her relationship with a young man from another caste, according to local police.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gajendra Singh Vardhaman revealed that the crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Girwai police station. The father, along with other family members, had vehemently opposed his daughter's romance with someone from a different community.

On Friday, a fight broke out between the father and daughter, culminating in the man strangling her. Police detained the father following the incident, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
