The partially burnt bodies of a man and woman, tied in chains, were discovered in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district on Sunday. The horrific scene was found in the Siddhan Ki Pahadi area of Lavkush Nagar, about 55 km from the district headquarters, according to police reports.

Police Sub-Divisional Officer Naveen Dubey confirmed that both victims, aged around 30, have been identified as Abhilasha Upadhyay of Lavkush Nagar and Chhotu Misha from Khaddi village. Abhilasha had been missing since Saturday, and her family had lodged a police complaint earlier on Sunday.

Chhatarpur’s Superintendent of Police Agam Jain stated that police and forensic teams have arrived at the scene, with further action dependent on the outcomes of the ongoing investigation. Eyewitnesses revealed that the charred bodies were found secured with a lock and chain.
