The tragic incident occurred when the two siblings were fighting over toys, prompting the father, Dishan alias Salman, to hit them with a wooden stick.

The man found the younger daughter motionless and the elder daughter in pain when he went to wake them for dinner. Both were taken to a hospital, where the younger child was declared dead. Salman has been charged with murder under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections.
