The grieving parents of a post-graduate trainee doctor, raped and murdered at R G Kar Hospital, have expressed serious concerns regarding the handling of her body. They allege that it was tampered with before being left in the seminar hall, hours after the incident.

Criticizing the West Bengal government for silencing public outcry, the parents found it ironic that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while protesting against rape, hasn't taken action in their daughter's case. They believe the CBI probe will expose the truth.

The father stated, “Attempts to stifle public protests are unacceptable since more than one person is involved in the crime. We hope the movement for justice continues.” He insisted on strict punishment for those responsible for crushing his daughter's dreams.

The parents, still distressed by the condition they found their daughter's body, revealed that they were not allowed to see it immediately. They were informed later that parts of her body were uncovered. A diary kept by their daughter is also under scrutiny, with missing pages adding to the mystery.

The mother recalled receiving a call at 10:53 pm on August 9, reaching the hospital at 12:30 am, but only seeing her daughter's body at 3 am. During this period, they waited in the chest medicine department.
