Russia Criticizes German Probe into Nord Stream Pipeline Explosions

Russia has voiced dissatisfaction with Germany's investigation into the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions. Russia has expressed discontent with Germany over its investigation into the 2022 explosions that ruptured the Nord Stream gas pipelines, as reported by RIA news agency. The complaint follows the escape of a key suspect in Poland.

Last week, German media revealed that prosecutors had identified a Ukrainian diving instructor as a significant suspect in the attack and had issued an arrest warrant in Poland. However, the suspect left Poland after Germany failed to include his name in a wanted persons database, according to Polish prosecutors.

Moscow is skeptical that the investigation will conclude with identifying the culprits, stated Oleg Tyapkin of the Russian foreign ministry. “We have urged Germany and other affected countries to fulfill their U.N. anti-terrorist obligations,” Tyapkin said. Germany's prosecutor general and foreign ministry have not commented on the report.
