Ajmer Sex Scandal: Six Sentenced to Life Imprisonment
A POCSO court has sentenced six individuals involved in the Ajmer sex scandal of the early 1990s to life imprisonment and fines. The six men were convicted of victimizing over 100 girls, filming them in compromising situations, and later raping them. The scandal first came to light in 1992.

A POCSO court has sentenced six individuals involved in the notorious Ajmer sex scandal of the early 1990s to life imprisonment. The court has also imposed fines of Rs 5 lakh on each of the accused.
Judge Ranjan Singh found Nafees Chishti, Naseem alias Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohail Gani, and Sayed Zameer Hussain guilty. Prosecution counsel Virendra Singh noted that Bhati was brought to Ajmer from Delhi in an ambulance.
The scandal, which came to light in 1992, involved a gang victimizing more than 100 girls aged 11 to 20 from a private school. The gang befriended the girls, took compromising photographs, and later raped them at a farmhouse. The case had 18 accused, but the other accused have either completed their sentences or been acquitted.
