The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that it had bombed Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley overnight. In a retaliatory move, Hezbollah carried out a drone attack on military posts in a northern Israeli kibbutz, according to the organization.
The Bekaa Valley, a known Hezbollah stronghold, and the rising hostilities across the Israel-Lebanon border, are increasing concerns that the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict could escalate into a wider Middle East war. Israel also confirmed the killing of a militant in Sidon, southern Lebanon, linked to both Iran's Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah.
According to a military statement, Israeli warplanes targeted several Hezbollah strategic weapons storage facilities leading to secondary explosions, indicating significant weapons presence. The overnight airstrikes have left at least two people dead and 19 injured, though their identities as civilians or fighters remain unclear.
