Tragedy in Sagarpur: Teen Girl Falls to Death from Balcony

A tragic incident occurred in southwest Delhi's Sagarpur area, where a 17-year-old girl died after allegedly falling from the balcony of her home, police confirmed on Thursday.

A video reportedly showing the girl falling and people gathering around has been circulated widely on social media.

Police received a call at 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday about the fall in Dabri Extension, Sagarpur. The girl was taken to DDU Hospital, where she was declared dead by doctors, stated a senior police officer.

The girl's family mentioned she was retrieving clothes from a balcony line when she lost her balance and fell.

The family, originally from Sonipat, Haryana, stated she was also undergoing treatment for mental health issues in Panipat. Authorities say no foul play is suspected, but investigations are ongoing under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
