Tragic Bus Accident in Pandhurna: 5 Dead, 40 Injured

A private bus en route to Hyderabad from Bhopal overturned in Pandhurna district, killing five people and injuring 40. The bus hit a divider and flipped, according to police reports. The accident occurred at 10 pm, and the bus was reportedly traveling at 110 km/h.

Five individuals lost their lives and 40 sustained injuries when a private bus traveling from Bhopal to Hyderabad overturned in Madhya Pradesh's new Pandhurna district, which borders Maharashtra, police confirmed on Friday.

According to Brijesh Bhargava, Sub-Divisional Officer of Police, the bus collided with a divider before overturning at Mohit Ghat around 10 pm on Thursday.

Three passengers died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries in a Nagpur hospital, approximately 60 km from the accident site. Police promptly moved the injured to hospitals using four ambulances. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus was speeding at 110 km/h when the driver lost control.
