The ethnic militants’ actions represent the most extensive insurgency attempts in years, aiming to secure the secession of Balochistan, a resource-abundant southwestern province hosting major China-led projects. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi characterized the attacks as a deliberate strategy to instigate chaos in Pakistan.

Among the fatalities, 14 soldiers and police officers, 21 militants, and 38 civilians were counted. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for these coordinated attacks, which also targeted infrastructure and security stations. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif promised decisive action against the insurgents.
