A woman witness in the Patra Chawl redevelopment project case, involving Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, has alleged receiving threats to change her statements during investigations. She conveyed her concerns to the Enforcement Directorate via a letter posted on August 28.
Despite raising the issue with multiple authorities, she claimed no investigation or action had been initiated. Highlighting the urgency, she questioned the delay in delivering justice and lamented the lack of FIR against the threats.
In response, a Shiv Sena leader has vowed to address the issue with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Mumbai’s police commissioner. The special court had previously termed Raut's arrest in the money laundering case as 'illegal' and indicative of a 'witch-hunt.'
