A 22-year-old man is missing and feared drowned after his car plunged into a river in North Goa early Sunday morning.
The police identified the missing victim as Bhashudev Bhandari, a native of Bharuch, Gujarat. According to officials, Bhandari's vehicle went off a jetty in St Estevan village while he was evading another car that was giving chase.
Emergency services and Indian Navy divers have joined forces in a search operation to locate him while a woman who was in the car with Bhandari managed to swim to safety.
