Man Arrested for Raping Minor in Budaun

A man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping a minor girl in a car in Budaun, UP. The accused lured the girl from her school, raped her, and later dropped her home. The victim reported the incident to her parents, leading to the man's arrest.

A man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping a minor girl in a car in Zarifnagar police station area of Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh.

The accused, who knew the girl, approached her school on Wednesday and convinced the principal that her parents had summoned her. He then took the class sixth student to a secluded spot in his car and raped her.

The alleged perpetrator threatened the girl with dire consequences before dropping her home. The victim informed her parents about the incident on Thursday. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) K K Saroj stated, 'Based on the family's complaint, a case has been lodged under the section of rape of BNS (Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita) and relevant sections of POCSO (Protection of Children From Sexual Offences) Act. The accused, Vivek (22), was arrested today.' The police added that Vivek operated a medical store in a shop owned by the victim's father.
