In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, law enforcement authorities arrested two individuals, including a disc jockey, for assaulting a tehsildar who instructed them to stop using sound amplifiers at a religious event.
Home to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Ujjain saw this crackdown aligning with his directive to ban DJ sound systems at such gatherings, issued upon taking office in December last year.
The accused, DJ Dheeraj Singh Sondia and Vinod Singh, attacked Tehsildar Irshad Khan with sticks, leading to his immediate medical treatment and ensuing investigations. Khan received three stitches and is scheduled for an MRI scan.
