Delhi Police Arrest Proclaimed Offender in Bengaluru Over Theft Case
The Delhi Police has apprehended a 37-year-old woman, a proclaimed offender, from Bengaluru in connection to a theft case. The accused, who had a bounty of Rs 5,000 on her arrest, was wanted for stealing a diamond set, earrings, and a gold chain. Her prior bail attempts were rejected.

The Delhi Police has apprehended a 37-year-old woman who was a proclaimed offender in a theft case, according to officials on Sunday.
The woman, on whom a Rs 5,000 bounty was posted, was declared a proclaimed offender on February 27 last year, said a police official. Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Rohit Meena reported that after receiving a tip-off, their team successfully nabbed the accused in Bengaluru. The case against her involves the theft of a diamond set, earrings, and a gold chain, lodged by a woman at RK Puram police station on September 24, 2022.
Despite multiple warrants and the rejection of two anticipatory bail applications, the accused did not cooperate with the investigation, said DCP Meena.
