Cement Executive Arrested for Attempted Bribery of District Collector
A cement company executive was arrested for attempting to bribe Bargarh District Collector Aditya Goyal with a bribe hidden in a flower bouquet and sweet packet. The vigilance team seized Rs 2 lakh in cash and the Chief Manufacturing Officer from a Chhattisgarh-based company faces charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

A cement manufacturing company executive has been arrested by anti-corruption vigilance sleuths for allegedly attempting to bribe a district collector. An official release stated that the incident occurred when the accused visited the Bargarh Collector, Aditya Goyal, and offered him a flower bouquet and a sweet packet.
Suspecting foul play, Goyal directed his peon to open the sweet packet, which revealed four bundles of Rs 500 currency notes amounting to Rs 2 lakh. The vigilance authorities were immediately informed and seized the packet.
The accused has been identified as the Chief Manufacturing Officer (East) of a Chhattisgarh-based cement company. He has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act and will be presented in court, according to vigilance officials.
