Odisha Prepares for PM Modi's Visit to Launch 'Subhadra Yojana'

Odisha Police have intensified security measures ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state on September 17. Top police officials, including DGP YB Khurania, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, and DCP Prateek Singh, conducted a site review at Janata Maidan, where key events are scheduled.
Modi's visit will witness the launch of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’, a pivotal BJP initiative aimed at empowering women. He is expected to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 11.35 am and will subsequently head to Janata Maidan by 1.25 pm, where he will inaugurate the scheme and lay foundations for new projects.
Commissioner Panda emphasized the importance of the security arrangements, which include traffic control, route lining, deployment of security personnel, and VIP protection. Temporary police control rooms and bomb disposal squads have been set up to ensure event safety. The Odisha BJP is mobilizing efforts to ensure significant participation from women at the event, highlighting the benefits of the 'Subhadra Yojana' which promises financial support to over one crore women annually.
