Odisha Police on Monday conducted a crime scene recreation in the case of the alleged gang rape of two minor girls in Rourkela, according to a police official.

Rourkela SP Brijesh Kumar Rai disclosed that a case has been registered at Plantsite police station under relevant sections of POCSO and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The minors, aged 14 and 15, were reportedly gang raped on September 21 after being forcibly taken to a desolate spot behind Birsa Munda Stadium.

A scientific team, dog squad, and police officers led by SDPO Nirmal Mohapatra visited the scene along with the accused to recreate the crime. Three suspects have been arrested, and medical examinations of the accused and the minors were conducted. Collected evidence will undergo scientific investigation, with the aim of ensuring speedy justice for the victims.
