The Supreme Court has expressed its displeasure over a 'disconnect' between the prosecution and the government counsel in a criminal case involving the Telangana police. This criticism came after the state’s counsel was unable to provide the exact dates on which the charge sheets were filed, despite a specific request from the bench.

Justices Hrishikesh Roy and S V N Bhatti, who are presiding over the case, were taken aback by the response of the government counsel, noting that the dates of the charge sheets should have been readily accessible. The court observed that there was a clear lack of communication between the prosecution and the government counsel.

The bench has directed the DGP of Telangana to be present, either physically or virtually, at the next hearing on October 4. The state's counsel has also been asked to file complete details of the matter before the upcoming hearing.
