Tehran's Warning to Gulf States Amid Rising Tensions

Iran has cautioned Gulf states against allowing their airspace to be used by enemies, particularly Israel, for any military actions against Tehran. This message comes as tensions rise following Iran's missile attack and amidst diplomatic meetings aimed at ensuring regional stability.

Tehran has issued a stern warning to Gulf states, asserting that any use of their airspace against Iran would provoke a response. This announcement comes amid growing concern over potential Israeli retaliation following Iran's recent missile attack.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is currently visiting Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries for discussions. The talks follow diplomatic engagements in Qatar, where Gulf officials sought to reassure Iran of their neutral stance in the ongoing tension with Israel. Iran insists that any hostile action by a Persian Gulf country will be viewed as a collective stance by the region, prompting a response from Tehran.

The Iranian envoy emphasized the necessity for regional unity against Israel and underlined the importance of maintaining stability. Meanwhile, Iran did not discuss potential increases in oil output by Gulf Arab producers if Iranian oil production is affected. A Western diplomat noted that Iran is closely monitoring Gulf states' responses, particularly the usage of U.S. military bases located there.
