The Congress party has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, labeling it an 'inhumane and despicable act' of targeted violence intended to derail infrastructure projects in the region. This statement comes after a gruesome assault on a tunnel-construction site.

According to officials, unidentified terrorists launched the deadly attack on Sunday at the Srinagar-Leh national highway, killing a doctor and six laborers. The victims were targeted after returning to their camp in the evening. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reaffirmed India's resolve to continue building key projects despite such cowardly acts.

Echoing this sentiment, prominent Congress figures including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra condemned the violence, offering condolences to victims' families and wishing the injured a swift recovery.
