The Indore crime branch has dismantled an inter-state betting racket that was operating under the guise of an online gaming app, with nine people being detained in the operation, a police official revealed on Monday.
Authorities recovered significant evidence related to the betting activities, including mobile phones and ATM cards. The raid, sparked by a tip-off, took place in a house at Silicon City in the Rau area of Madhya Pradesh's Indore.
The accused, aged 20 to 26, hailed from multiple states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra. They are booked under the Public Gambling Act as investigations continue.
