Contempt Charges Loom: Activist Urges Action Against Minister

Karnataka Activist T J Abraham has turned to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, seeking his intervention in pressing the Advocate General to pursue contempt charges against Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan. Abraham co-petitions the MUDA site allotment case, targeting remarks made by Khan.

The controversy erupted after the High Court approved an investigation against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, with Khan labeling the decision a political judgment. Abraham contends this action as contemptuous, a serious allegation within the legal framework.

Abraham asserts that despite sending a notice to the Advocate General on September 27, there has been no response. He calls for the Governor to compel action or consider the removal of the Advocate General under Article 165(C) of the Indian Constitution.
