In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police Special Cell has detained at least seven individuals allegedly involved with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, officials announced on Friday. The arrests thwart a planned attack in Rajasthan.
This operation follows the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12, a crime for which the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility. The seven arrests were made across Punjab and other states, resulting in the confiscation of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.
Authorities suspect that the detainees were acting on orders from Arzoo Bishnoi, a close associate of the imprisoned Lawrence Bishnoi. Further interrogation is underway to determine any links to the attack on Siddique.
