A Syrian delegation, headed by the recently appointed Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday. This marks their first official visit abroad, according to Syria's state news agency SANA, referencing a source from the foreign ministry.

The team includes Defence Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra. This diplomatic engagement happens just weeks after significant internal political shifts in Syria, specifically the ousting of Bashar al-Assad by rebel forces on December 8.
