In a significant anti-narcotics operation, two individuals have been detained with over a kilogram of heroin near Amritsar's border in Punjab. This development was confirmed by a Border Security Force official on Thursday.

Collaborating forces from the Border Security Force and Punjab Police's Anti-Narcotics Task Force successfully intercepted the duo near the Chota Fatehwal village. The operation resulted in the seizure of two heroin packets, collectively weighing 1.1 kilograms.

The detained individuals are said to be residents of Sarang Dev village and were allegedly involved in smuggling narcotics from Pakistan using drones as a mode of transport.
