The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has unveiled a new registration and online application module for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. This update replaces the existing Detailed Application Forms, DAF-I and DAF-II, in a move designed to enhance user convenience and streamline the examination process.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh emphasized that this change is part of a broader effort to optimize the CSE application cycle, aligning with regulations set by the Department of Personnel & Training. The revised process mandates applicants to submit crucial documentation alongside their applications.
The CSE, held annually across three stages, selects candidates for prestigious services like IAS, IFS, and IPS. Despite calls for diversifying optional subjects, the government has deemed the inclusion of new subjects like pharmacy unfeasible for now.
