The Border Security Force (BSF) achieved a significant breakthrough with the discovery of a Maoist weapons cache on Thursday in Odisha. The seizure included four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), three muzzle-loading guns, explosives, as well as detonators, according to officials.

The operation was conducted in the Silakota reserve forest area of Malkangiri district. Troops from the 2nd battalion, operating under the Podia Company Operating Base (COB), led this successful mission.

Among the seized items were a mobile phone and a power bank. The BSF forces defused the IEDs and handed over the entire cache to the local police. The BSF is strategically deployed in Odisha to carry out anti-Naxal activities.
