Pension Adalats: Transforming Governance with Compassionate Efficiency

Union Minister Jitendra Singh outlines several initiatives focused on enhancing the ease of living for pensioners, emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's transformation of governance into a more humane system. The Pension Adalat initiative has efficiently resolved thousands of pension-related grievances, reinforcing the government's commitment to its senior citizens.

Since 2017, the Pension Adalats have resolved 18,157 cases out of 25,416 lodged grievances. The 12th session alone saw 151 cases addressed on the spot, illustrating its effectiveness in providing timely relief. Cases like that of Dr Arvind Kumar, Anita Kanik Rani, and Nirmala Devi underscore the program's impact.

With efforts to integrate digital reforms like face authentication for life certificates, the government aims to ease processes. Singh acknowledged DoPPW Secretary V Srinivas for fostering real-time resolution of longstanding issues, thereby affirming a commitment to transparent and efficient governance.
