The North West Provincial Government has launched the latest phase of the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme, known as Thuntsha Lerole Reloaded. The programme aims to fast-track essential services and improve the quality of life in communities across all local municipalities.

This Friday, the focus is on Madibeng Local Municipality, which forms part of the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality. The activities will take place in Klipgat near Brits, highlighting infrastructure improvements and public health initiatives.

Health and Wellness Focus

The Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Joe Phaahla, will join Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi and other provincial leaders to promote healthy living and community-based health screenings. Special attention will be given to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes and hypertension. Free screenings and health education will be provided to empower residents with knowledge about disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.

Infrastructure Improvements and Agricultural Support

A major highlight of the visit will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly paved road in Hills, Ward 8 of Madibeng. This upgraded road is expected to enhance transportation and accessibility for residents.

Additionally, the leadership will hand over essential agricultural infrastructure and mechanisation equipment to the Wanisati Haklisa and Gosiame Agricultural Project in Mamogaleskraal. This initiative is designed to bolster local agricultural productivity and support food security.

Support for Community Welfare Initiatives In Ward 37, a symbolic cheque will be presented to the Tlhokomela Service Club and Good Morning After Care, further demonstrating the government's commitment to supporting local welfare projects.

Road Maintenance and Municipal Services Upgrades

Road maintenance will be prioritized across Madibeng, with teams conducting pothole patching and road grading. Additionally, public spaces will be improved through the repair of street and high mast lights, clearing of illegal dumping sites, and conducting consumer compliance inspections to ensure service standards.

Expansion to Other Districts

The Thuntsha Lerole Reloaded programme will extend to three additional districts:

  • Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District
  • Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District
  • Ngaka Modiri Molema District

The North West Provincial Government remains steadfast in its mission to accelerate service delivery and address community needs through comprehensive programmes like Thuntsha Lerole Reloaded.
