A controversy erupted in Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, after two policemen were suspended for writing 'habitual complainant with the CM helpline' on a man's character certificate, according to state official reports on Saturday.
The policemen in question, head constable Balram Sareyam and constable Viplav Marase, are accused of breaching protocol in handling the character certificate of Rupesh Deshmukh. The Betul's Superintendent of Police Nischal N Jharia took action against the officers for this procedural lapse.
