On Sunday, residents found the lifeless bodies of Roshan Lal, 45, and Shamsher, 37, on the banks of a stream in Batheri village, Billawar. Preliminary investigations suggested that both men were strangulated.
Local police, led by Station House Officer Jitender Singh, have registered a murder case and are pursuing all leads, including a potential terror link. Last year, similar terror activities were recorded in the region, adding complexity to the ongoing investigation.
