The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a second extension for the application deadline for this year's civil services preliminary examination, now set for February 21, 2025.
The decision comes after technical difficulties were reported by applicants using the recently updated online application system. The preliminary exam is scheduled for May 25, 2025, and aims to fill around 979 vacancies, including positions for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
A window for corrections in submitted applications will be available from February 22 to 28, 2025. The move reflects UPSC's responsiveness to applicant feedback and underscores the need for seamless digital application processes.
