Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has ordered a thorough review of NGOs receiving foreign funds in the state. The aim is to ensure these funds are not misused for 'illegal activities, including religious conversion'.

Addressing media at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, Sai highlighted concerns over foreign aid intended for health and education being diverted to matters of faith conversions. He emphasized the government's commitment to secularism, asserting that India allows freedom of religion.

The state will conduct investigations into NGO activities, collaborating with the Centre to curb any detrimental societal impacts. The Chief Minister reiterated the application of strict laws against forced conversions and the prioritization of communal harmony.
