The case revolves around a tragic incident where the child went missing from Kolsewadi locality on December 24, with her body later recovered in Bapgaon village.

Following an investigation by Kolsewadi police, Vishal Gawli and his wife Sakshi were apprehended. They face multiple charges, including kidnapping for ransom, under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act. Renowned advocate Ujjwal Nikam has been appointed as the special public prosecutor.
