A teacher from Nagar Nigam School in Shri Ram Colony, northeast Delhi, is facing serious allegations after reportedly assaulting a class 1 student, resulting in internal bleeding in the child's ear, authorities confirmed on Friday.
The incident, which took place on February 17, became public only after a PCR call was made on the following day. The child was subsequently examined at JPC Hospital, where internal ear bleeding was detected, though there were no external injuries, according to the Delhi Police.
The student's mother declined to provide a statement due to her husband's absence, as he was in Bihar at the time. Initially, the case was held pending since February 18, but after careful legal review, it was determined that charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section and the Juvenile Justice Act were applicable. A case has since been lodged against the teacher, and further investigations are in progress.
